Description
Imagined, designed, manufactured to meet the needs and requirements of all work-at-height professionals, the LOV3 is a fall arrest and descender device which operates on normal vertical ropes or tensioned and diagonal ropes.
The LOV3 is an evolution of the LOV2, with more certifications and the captive function :

I used my LOV3 again today for both Lead Rope Solo (LRS) and Top Rope Solo Climbing (TRS). The device is INCREDIBLE for TRS!!! As for LRS, it is slightly better than the Soloist because the rappel with the LOV goes much better and the system for TRS is incredible too! I attach the LOV3 using the Petzl Swivel Open. One side of the swivel is screwed permanently to the LOV3 and the other side is connected to my tie-in points by a doubled-up 7mm cord (should break at around 26kN!!!). The Swivel is rated MBS 23 kN but a great WLL of 5kN. Much better than some other Open Swivels. Some think a swivel for LRS could be dangerous. I agree that you are pushing it if you take a factor 2 fall on it and professional inspection would be recommended in that case. The obvious CON for LRS is that my LOV3 system is kind of complicated compared to other devices (Silent Partner, Soloist, Grigri, Revo, Eddy, Goblin). But it is worth it! I love how the changeovers are seamless!!
